On loan at RB Leipzig last term, Simons flourished on his debut season in the Bundesliga, contributing eight goals and 13 assists as Die Roten Bullen secured Champions League football again next term.
A versatile attacker who is capable of operating on either flank, Simons' explosiveness, vision and exceptional technical ability make him an enticing prospect for a number of top clubs across Europe.
His parent club PSG - who poached Simons from Barcelona in 2019 - sold the Dutch ace to PSV Eindhoven in 2022 before activating a buy-back clause a year later. He was subsequently loaned to Leipzig and after keenly observing his development over the last 12 months, Luis Enrique is keen to integrate Simons into his first-team plans as the Parisians embark on a new chapter without Kylian Mbappe.
However, Simons cast some doubt over his PSG future, with the attacker insisting he will assess his options once his involvement in Euro 2024 concludes.
Bayern Munich, somewhat inevitably, are one of the outfits fronting the queue for his signature, having attempted to contain Simons' electrifying speed and skill in the season just gone. After failing to win a trophy for the first time since 2012, the Bavarian giants are undergoing a makeover with former Burnley boss Vincent Kompany now at the helm.
RB Leipzig would love to secure Simons on a permanent basis, though reports in Germany suggest PSG would prefer a loan with an obligation to buy. If a deal was to be agreed, the Saxony-based club would need to smash the transfer record they set when signing Lois Openda for €40 million from RC Lens last summer.
A host of Premier League clubs are also reportedly monitoring Simons' availability, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle contenders in the betting.
The 21-year-old intends to concentrate on his nation's progression at Euro 2024 before making a decision on his next career move, and Simons will not be short of options by the time the tournament ends.
