Wrexham are reportedly interested in signing Czech Republic attacking midfielder Pavel Sulc from Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that the Championship side are planning a club-record transfer to sign the player.
It is believed that the fee involved would eclipse the £8 million deal that saw Anthony Patterson join the club from Sunderland earlier this month.
Sulc was named the Czech footballer of the year in 2025 following an excellent run of form at Viktoria Plzen and a fine start to his time at Lyon.
The 25-year-old arrived in France last summer and he scored 14 goals in 38 appearances for Lyon in the 2025/26 season.
Sulc featured in all three of Czech Republic's matches at the 2026 World Cup, where his country bowed out at the group stage.
The potential arrival of Sulc at Wrexham would be a significant boost to the team's chances of securing a play-off place this season.
Phil Parkinson's side have started the new season with back-to-back draws against Cardiff City and Watford.
