Two-time world champion Kalle Rovanpera is the favourite heading into this weekend's Rally Sweden as he looks to build on his fourth-placed finish last time out in Monte Carlo.

The season opener has not been a happy hunting ground for Rovanpera in the past but the Finnish sensation thrives in winter conditions and was a winner of this rally in 2022.

Another former winner of this event is Ott Tanak and the Estonian's charge will be aided with an enhanced Hyundai package beneath him, while his teammate and defending world champion Thierry Neuville will be eager to bounce back from a frustrating outing in Monte Carlo where a series of uncharacteristic errors saw him finish sixth.

Elfyn Evans has demonstrated his proficiency in the treacherous Scandinavian conditions in the years gone by, having emerged victorious in Sweden in 2020 before finished second in this event last season.
