Similar to the World Matchplay tournaments organised by the PDC, the World Seniors Matchplay Darts 2024 will use the same leg format.
In each of the rounds, a player needs to be two legs clear to win a game, meaning that in a best-of-15 leg game, if the scores are tied at 7-7 then a player would need to ascertain a two-leg advantage to be declared the winner.
A game can be extended for a maximum of six extra legs, before a tie-break leg is required.
