1983 World Darts Champion Keith Deller MBE has picked out a 28/1 Bet Builder for Rob Cross v Scott Williams in the World Darts Championship.
Rob Cross v Scott Williams
Monday 23rd December (21:30)
While Scott Williams appears to be a fan favourite on the main stage, I expect Rob Cross to do what's required to advance on Monday night.
The 2018 Worlds winner reached the semi-finals of last year's competition and, if he plays at the level we all know he can, there is no reason he can't go one step further. I expect him to kickstart his campaign and that is why I have backed a 3-1 Rob Cross win.
I also expect Cross to be clinical on the higher checkouts. Against Williams, who often doesn't need too many darts to get to a low finish, Cross may need to take out some higher finishes and I back him to do this. For that reason, my second pick in my Bet Builder is Rob Cross to hit the highest checkout.
If Williams' opening Worlds match told us one thing, it's that he is extremely consistent in finding 180s. He hit nine 180s against Niko Springer and I like the chances of him hitting the most 180s against Cross.
That said, we can't downplay Cross' ability to find the maximum and I think, between the two, we will see over 11.5 total 180s.
These four picks, packaged together in my Bet Builder, comes out at 28/1, and I feel this could prove great value.
A Darts Bet Builder is essentially a multi-leg bet which allows you to compile a variety of selections from a single match.
Available on a wide number of sports, now including Darts just in time for the World Championship, a Bet Builder consists of a minimum two selections, with the odds of your Bet Builder increasing with the more selections that are added, leading to higher potential payouts.
