Following an impressive 4-1 win against Luke Humphries in the World Darts Championship, Peter Wright gets set to face another tough challenge in the form of Stephen Bunting and Keith Deller MBE has compiled a 13/2 Bet Builder for the contest.
Peter Wright v Stephen Bunting
Wednesday 1st January (19:15)
Peter Wright was at his very best against Humphries, but I get the sense Stephen Bunting could be an even tougher task, despite the PDC Order of Merit suggesting otherwise.
While this is the Worlds and form often goes out the window, Bunting has played at a higher level than Wright throughout 2024.
That, combined with Bunting impressing on the main stage so far in the competition, gives me reason to believe Bunting will win this one, and that is the first pick of my Bet Builder.
The 'Bullet' has played with real confidence this tournament and, if he can maintain his composure, I can see him recording the most 100+ checkouts on Wednesday.
While I fancy Bunting to win, there is definitely a chance that this one can go the distance. If we are to see this, expect both players to consistently find 180s. My third and final pick is for there to be over 18.5 180s.
These three picks compiled in a Bet Builder come out at 13/2, which I see as great value.
If you fancy a side bet on the correct set score and think Bunting will have a little too much quality for Wright, you can get odds of 5/1 for Bunting to win 5-4.
A Darts Bet Builder is essentially a multi-leg bet which allows you to compile a variety of selections from a single match.
Available on a wide number of sports, now including Darts just in time for the World Championship, a Bet Builder consists of a minimum two selections, with the odds of your Bet Builder increasing with the more selections that are added, leading to higher potential payouts.
