1983 World Darts Champion Keith Deller MBE has pieced together a 17/2 Bet Builder for the 2025 World Darts Championship quarter-final showdown between Michael van Gerwen and Callan Rydz
Michael van Gerwen v Callan Rydz
Wednesday 1st January (14:15)
Michael van Gerwen looked back to his best in his last match, and I feel he will really have the bit between his teeth now as he eyes up a fourth world title.
He scored a three-dart average in excess of 101 and will expect to be in and around that three figure number in his last eight showdown with Callan Rydz.
Callan has been one of the stories of the tournament, but he is a player that everybody on the tour knows all about.
When his confidence is high and he isn't beating himself up, then he is capable of challenging, and beating, any player, but the issue with him has been finding that self-belief.
He has that in bucket loads right now, he is scoring 180s for fun and I am anticipating him giving MVG a real run for his money.
I like the match double of Van Gerwen to win 5-3 along with Rydz, who possesses real scoring power, to come out on top in the 180 count - which pays at a very appealing 17/2.
