Christmas has come early as Sunday marks the first day of the 2025 World Darts Championship!

The final first round match of the evening sees Kim Huybrechts take on Keane Barry and I fancy The Hurricane to reach the second round for a seventh successive year.

Huybrechts is starting to play a little better compared to his previous form. With Barry and his scoring, if his first dart goes below the treble it's good, but if he goes above he struggles.

I expect Huybrechts to win, but I also think we will see at least four sets, which is why I fancy there to be at least seven 180s in the match.

I also like the look of Barry to hit the first maximum at 11/10, with the two-time world youth champion eager to make a quick start.
