James Wade will aim to kick-start his World Darts Championship campaign as he takes on Jermaine Wattimena on Monday afternoon, and1983 World Darts Champion Keith Deller MBE shares his best bets for Monday afternoon's encounter.
James Wade v Jermaine Wattimena
Monday 16th December (15:45)
Jermaine Wattimena impressed on the opening night of the Worlds against Stefan Bellmont, cruising to a 3-0 victory, and, while I expect James Wade to be a much tougher opponent, I believe the Dutchman has what it takes to claim victory once again.
He seemed to slow his throw down against Bellmont, brining about more confidence within his game.
For that reason, I can see Jermaine Wattimena winning the match and registering the most 180s in the contest.
That said, Wade's ability to hit 180s should not be downplayed and I can see him hitting a few for himself. Between the pair, I expect there to be over 8.5 total 180s.
With the talent on show and both players' desire to advance to the next round, I expect little room for error. With this in mind, I predict for there to be a bull finish in any leg.
