Where can I watch the World Cup?

Every World Cup match will be available to watch in the UK on either BBC or ITV.

For most of the group stage, there will be four World Cup matches per day. For the first two rounds of group fixtures, matches will kick off at 10:00 GMT, 13:00 GMT, 16:00 GMT and 19:00 GMT. This means football fans can watch 11 hours of continuous live matches per day, with the broadcasting rights shared by BBC and ITV.

The BBC will have first pick of the semi-finals, whilst ITV will have first and second picks of last 16 fixtures and first pick of quarter-finals matches.

Where can I watch England games at the World Cup?

England will take on France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, with the match taking place at 19:00 on Saturday 10th December and being shown live on ITV1.

The last 16 showdown with Senegal, which Gareth Southgate's men won 3-0, was also shown on the same channel, kicking off at 19:00 on Sunday 4th December.

England’s World Cup opener against Iran on Monday 21st November was broadcast live on BBC at 13:00. 

The Three Lions’ second match against the USA on Friday 25th November was shown on ITV, and kicked off at 19:00.

Gareth Southgate’s side’s clash with neighbours Wales on matchday three of the group stages was available to watch live on BBC at 19:00 on Tuesday 29th November 2022. 

Where can I watch the World Cup final?

The World Cup final, set to kick off at 15:00 GMT at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday 18th December, will be shown live on both BBC and ITV.
