bet365 have confirmed that the £100,000 top prize has been claimed by the World Cup Tournament Predictor winner, with a total of nearly £400,000 shared out between more than 15,000 winners.
Argentina’s win over France in Sunday’s World Cup final meant one lucky player scored 830 points – 10 points more than the runner-up, who scored an impressive 820.
Ten points were awarded for each correct prediction in the group stage, and while six of the eight favourites obliged, Japan and Morocco upset the odds to topple Spain and Germany and Croatia and Belgium.
Each correct prediction in the last 16 was worth 20 points, and with seven of the eight favourites all progressing, plenty of players were racking up the points.
The quarter-finals, however, where correct predictions were worth 40 points, certainly scuppered a few predictions, with Brazil losing out on penalties to Croatia and Morocco upsetting the odds once again to knock out Portugal, with optimistic England fans seeing their hopes dashed by the 2018 world champions.
The semi-finals saw Argentina – who avoided tournament favourites Brazil – and France – written off in many corners before the World Cup – reach the final, with correct predictions worth 80 points, and 160 points were awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the final.
The winner correctly predicted the order of Groups A, B, C, G and H with only six wrong predictions in the group stage. They then predicted six of the eight teams to win in the last 16, being undone by Germany and Belgium, both of whom failed to qualify from the groups.
The winner also had Belgium and Brazil reaching the semi-finals, with Argentina and France prevailing and La Albiceleste winning the final.

While three players each scooped the first, second and third prizes of £100,000, £25,000 and £15,000, 13 players came in a tie for fourth, each winning £10,000.
A total of 58 players received a prize of £1,000 or more.
