World Cup of Darts
England v France Tips & Prediction

England 8-3 France @ 9/2
Over 10.5 Legs @ 3/10
England - Over 4.5 180s @ 11/10
England - First 180 Scored @ 3/10

England are my bet to go the distance and capture the World Cup of Darts title on Sunday, so, of course, I am backing them to win this match in routine fashion.

France came their group pretty well, but this is a different test for them now against the number one seeds, and the best England team for a long, long time.

Luke Humphries is the current world number one and world champion and his partner, Michael Smith, is the world champion and former world number one of 12 months ago.

Teams don't get any stronger than this!

I am expecting them to come flying out of the traps, and I am expecting them to be far too strong for a decent French team tonight - which is why I like the look of an 8-3 victory for England.

I do think France will get themselves a few legs, hence my Over 10.5 legs in the match inclusion, and I also fancy Humphries and Smith to showcase their immense scoring power too.

Over 4.5 180s between the two of them shouldn't be too big an ask at 11/10 and I also like the 3/10 on offer - despite it being a pretty short odds play - for England to notch the first maximum of the match.

England will set the benchmark tonight with an impressive victory.

World Cup of Darts
Wales v Croatia Tips & Prediction

Wales 8-5 Croatia @ 6/1
Under 13.5 Legs @ 1/2
Wales - Over 2.5 180s @ 4/5

This is an interesting one for Wales given the fact that their leading player Gerwyn Price has been forced to withdraw from the competition.

His exit has paved the way for Jim Williams to make his World Cup debut, and I actually feel as though that change will benefit Jonny Clayton, who has endured a hit and miss campaign to date.

Jonny would have been under real pressure to deliver with Gerwyn, but given he is now the leading player in the team, I feel as though that is going to help him a little bit.

Jim is very reliable and very consistent, and whilst Croatia have done well to seal their last 16 spot, a meeting with Wales will be where their tournament comes to an end.

I am backing the Welsh pairing to seal an 8-5 victory tonight, but to counter that bet, in case Clayton and Williams are able to make things a little easier for themselves, I would also take a look at the 1/2 on offer for Under 13.5 legs to be played in this match.

There is always value in the 180s too, I feel, and Wales to score three or more, at 4/5, looks appetising.

World Cup of Darts
Northern Ireland v Germany Tips & Prediction

Northern Ireland 6-8 Germany @ 6/1
Over 12.5 Legs @ 8/15
Northern Ireland - Over 2.5 180s @ 8/11

This is a really interesting game, with very little to split the two sides - but for me, I just feel the home crowd will spur Germany on to victory.

Now for those that followed my pre-tournament tips, I backed both Germany and Northern Ireland to come through their groups and I also noted the value in backing either nation on each-way terms.

So from that side of things, it's disappointing that they have been paired together in the last 16, but victory for either will give them huge confidence as the competition starts to really hot-up on finals day, on Sunday.

This will all come down to Josh Rock and Martin Schindler - they are the key players for each of the teams.

Brendan Dolan is more reliable than Gabriel Clemens at this moment in time, but I do just have a feeling that home advantage is going to count, and the partisan German crowd will get their side over the line in a very tight match.

I certainly envisage there being in excess of 12.5 legs, and I am also expected Northern Ireland to help themselves to at least three maximums throughout the contest.

Josh, who has been really fired up in the competition thus far, is more than capable of hitting that number himself.
