World Cup day 10 preview featuring Group A & B deciders

Tuesday's World Cup schedule is dominated by England's much-anticipated final Group B clash with Wales.

There's another pivotal game to be played in the section, when USA face Iran, with all four teams still in with a chance of qualifying for the last 16, while Group A is rounded off by Netherlands against the already-eliminated hosts Qatar and Ecuador taking on Senegal

With the World Cup 2022 matches continuing to come thick and fast, we've already reached decision day in the first two groups, when countries will earn their places in the knockout stage or face the prospect of going home early.

Pressure on at Al Rayyan

What: Wales v England, Group B
Where: Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan
When: 19:00, Tuesday 29th November 2022
How to watch: BBC1 & BBC iplayer
Odds: Wales 15/2, draw 16/5, England 2/5

This was always going to be one of the highlights of the tournament ever since the draw was made and there's plenty still riding on this all-UK showdown in Al Rayyan.

England are heavy 2/5 favourites and need a win to seal their place as group winners, although a draw may also be enough for top spot - and therefore a theoretically easier last-16 tie - unless Iran beat the United States or the Americans win by at least four goals.

Only a highly unlikely Wales victory by four goals will knock England out, . For Wales to get through, they need just any win over their local rivals, coupled with a draw between the United States and Iran.

It's set to be a passionate evening in the stands, but the reality is England should have too much for a limited Wales outfit who were deservedly beaten 2-0 by Iran last time out after being largely second best too in their opening 1-1 draw against USA.

All to play for in Doha

What: Iran v USA, Group B
Where: Al Thumama Stadium, Doha
When: 19:00, Tuesday 29th November 2022
How to watch: BBC2 & BBC iplayer
Odds: Iran 14/5, draw 12/5, USA 21/20

It's been a mini-rollercoaster of a tournament for Iran so far as they began with a shambolic 6-2 defeat to England before impressing in a 2-0 success over Wales.

Now they face their defining moment when they take on a USA side who have quietly gone about their business in Qatar well.

Gregg Berhalter's men were the better side in their opener against Wales when they drew 1-1, before they arguably had the better of things against England as well in a frustrating goalless draw.

A win for the States on Tuesday against Iran is a must if they want to progress to the last 16 and they look well capable of doing it, while Iran will go through with a draw unless Wales beat England in the other game.

Dutch to have too much for Qatar

What: Netherlands v Qatar, Group A
Where: Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor
When: 15:00, Tuesday 29th November 2022
How to watch: ITV1
Odds: Netherlands 1/5, draw 6/1, Qatar 12/1

Netherlands are set to progress smoothly out of Group A with an unbeaten record as they should be far too savvy for a weak Qatar team in Al Khor, who have the unfortunate record of being the earliest host nation to ever exit a World Cup.

Qatar have been willing but lacking in overall quality so far and have deservedly gone down to two two-goal margin defeats against Ecuador and Senegal.

The Dutch are not exactly firing on all cylinders yet, eventually seeing off Senegal 2-0 with two late goals, before a 1-1 draw with Ecuador.

However, in Cody Gakpo they could have the breakout star of the tournament. The PSV Eindhoven winger has scored twice already, with the 23-year-old transferring his devastating club form onto the international scene.

He's 7/4 to score anytime in the third group game and the Dutch are, as expected, short 1/5 favourites to win the match to leave the hosts staring dismally at three defeats from three.

A close encounter expected between Ecuador and Senegal

What: Ecuador v Senegal, Group A
Where: Khalifa International Stadium, Al Rayyan
When: 15:00, Tuesday 29th November 2022
How to watch: ITV4
Odds: Ecuador 29/20, draw 11/5, Senegal 21/10

Like the Netherlands, Ecuador know a draw in their final group game against Senegal will be enough to see them progress into the last 16 and they will be confident of achieving their target.

They began the tournament well to dismiss hosts Qatar in the opening match 2-0 and then followed it up with a 1-1 draw against the Dutch.

This is likely to be close as Senegal fought hard before only going down late on against Louis van Gaal's side, but Ecuador should have enough to edge it at tempting odds to win of 29/20
