We look at the latest odds for the Women's 1500m event at the Olympics with Laura Muir Team GB's best gold medal hope.
Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Laura Muir remains Team GB's best gold medal hope as the Scottish runner eyes Olympic supremacy in Saturday evening's women's 1500m final.
33/1 shot Muir came through her heat in impressive fashion, notching a time of 3:58.91 to secure second place, and guarantee herself a spot in Thursday's semi-final.
She will be joined in the semi-final stages by fellow British hopeful Georgia Bell (66/1) and, hopefully, Revee Walcott-Nolan (200/1).
Bell, who was crowned British 1500m champion earlier this summer, clocked 4.00.29 in her heat, whilst Walcott-Nolan will need to come through Wednesday's repechage after finishing in eighth - outside of the qualification spots - in heat three.
Kenya's Faith Kipyegon remains the well-backed odds-on favourite to add to her Olympic medal haul however, with the 30-year-old 1/3 to land a third success gold medal on the back of her 1500m triumphs at the 2016 and 2020 Games.
Her biggest threat appears to lie in Jessica Hull however, with the Australian priced at 13/2 to capture Olympic gold for the first time in her career.
