Bournemouth are considering making a move for Wolves star Fer Lopez following his strong start to the season.
TEAMtalk have reported that Lopez's situation is being monitored as the club considers potential replacements for in-form midfielder Alex Scott.
Bournemouth are reluctant to sanction a deal to sell Scott in the January transfer window, although his value will have increased over the last few months.
Scott has impressed for England during the international break and he is believed to be on the radar of the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.
His long-term future is a topic of conversation amongst the club's hierarchy and they are already doing their homework in the event that they decide to let the 23-year-old leave.
It is believed that Wolves midfielder Lopez is one of the leading names on Bournemouth's shortlist to potentially replace Scott.
The Spain Under-21 international spent the second half of last season on loan at Celta Vigo and he was heavily linked with a move away from Molineux this summer.
Wolves decided to keep hold of the player as they started the new Championship season and their decision has paid dividends so far.
Lopez has scored five goals and registered two assists at the start of the new campaign and he has become one of the standout players outside of the top-flight.
Bournemouth are also believed to be interested in AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit as they continue to assess their options in light of Scott's excellent run of form.
