Wolverhampton Wanderers ready to sanction exit for £15 million ace

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to sanction the departure of Sasa Kalajdzic this month with two unnamed Bundesliga clubs battling for his signature.

Championship

The 29-year-old has scored just three times in 16 appearances for the Molineux side since joining from VfB Stuttgart for £15 million four years ago.

Regarded as one of the hottest goalscoring talents on the continent upon his arrival in the Premier League, the Austrian has endured a torrid time with injuries since making the switch.

He spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, featuring just six times, whilst he enjoyed a far more productive spell back in his homeland with LASK last term.

In total, he made 26 appearances for the Austrian Bundesliga side, scoring seven times and providing 11 assists.

There had been hopes that they could seal a permanent deal for the frontman only for a move to fall through because of the financial demands.

Since then, Kalajdzic has been linked with moves to numerous other clubs on the continent including Nice in France and Real Oviedo in Spain.

However, it now appears Germany is the most likely destination for the experienced striker.

According to Sky Austria, two top-flight clubs have opened discussions with Wolves regarding a deal with the pair set to meet the Championship side's valuation.

Wolves are willing to take a significant loss on the player, who has just one year of his contract remaining.
