Willie Mullins Day 3 Cheltenham accumulator: 67/1 Cheltenham treble

After notching up a century of Cheltenham Festival winners on Wednesday afternoon, Willie Mullins has a number of contenders on Thursday to add to his six victories so far this week.

Mullins is well on his way to finishing as this year's top trainer and the Prestbury Cup appears to be a stroll for Ireland, but he will be eyeing up more success on the third day of the festival.

The below treble at Cheltenham pays at odds of 67/1 at current prices.

Willie Mullins Day 3 Cheltenham treble

1:30 Turners Novices' Chase - Facile Vega - 2/1
3:30 Stayers' Hurdle - Sir Gerhard -
6/1
4:50 - Mares' Novices' Hurdle - Jade De Grugy -
9/4

Turners Novices' Chase - Facile Vega

Last year's second in the Supreme is looking to go one better in the opening race of the day.

The former Champion Bumper winner landed the Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown shortly after the 2023 festival but his form has been up and down since.

His seasonal reappearance at Navan was a successful one, but he then struggled in the Racing Post Novice Chase over Christmas and was third in the Irish Arkle Novice Chase on his last outing.

He remains the classiest horse in the race, however, and it would be a surprise not to see him in the frame.

Stayers' Hurdle - Sir Gerhard

As a former Champion Bumper and Ballymore winner, Sir Gerhard has fond memories of the Cheltenham Festival.

His performance in the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase at last year's festival was an underwhelming one, and a subsequent period of struggle followed.

But his winning return to hurdles at Punchestown in December reaffirmed his credentials and he will go off as one the favourites for the Stayers' Hurdle.

Mares' Novices' Hurdle - Jade De Grugy

Mullins won the first five editions of this race from 2016 to 2020 and he has a great opportunity to end his three-year drought in this year's renewal of the Grade 2 race.

After her victory in the Savills Maiden Hurdle at Leopardstown in December, she was then victorious in a Grade 3 at Fairyhouse, winning by six and a half lengths in a sublime display.

She's all set for a fascinating tussle with the Gordon Elliott-trained Brighterdaysahead in this one.
