Will Still potential next club

We assess where Will Still's future may lie after the Englishman confirmed he will leave his position as Lens manager this summer.

Football

32-year-old Still, formerly in charge of Reims, guided Lens to an eighth-placed finish in Ligue 1 in the 2024/25 season.

Born in Belgium, Still's success as a young manager in French football has garnered a lot of media attention in the last few years.

Now that Still has announced he will be departing Lens and returning home to England this summer due to personal reasons, we assess the potential job he could take on next.

Southampton

Southampton are one of a number of clubs who will be competing in the Championship next season that are on the lookout for a new manager.

The Saints have endured a dismal Premier League campaign this term, with Russell Martin and Ivan Juric both sacked as manager over the course of the season.

The Southampton hierarchy will now be pursuing a new manager to lead an attempt to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, with the impressive Still likely to be in the frame for this job.

Leicester City

Like Southampton, Leicester City will be preparing for life back in the Championship after suffering Premier League relegation.

Ruud van Nistelrooy is currently the manager of the Foxes, but whether or not he will remain in charge in the Championship remains to be seen.

Should the Dutchman move on this summer, Leicester may look to Still to inspire the club's attempt to return to the Premier League as soon as possible.

West Brom

With Tony Mowbray relieved of his duties in April 2025, West Brom are still searching for a new manager to lead them into next season.

It's now been four years since the Baggies have been in the Premier League, with West Brom in desperate need of fresh inspiration in the managerial dugout.

The arrival of an ambitious young manager in Still might be just what is required at The Hawthorns.

Hull City

Hull City are also in pursuit of a new manager after parting ways with Ruben Selles.

The Tigers only narrowly missed out on relegation from the Championship in 2024/25, staying up in the end due to their superior goal difference to Luton Town.

Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has big ambitions for the club and the potential appointment of Still would represent a statement from the Tigers' board.

Still has been linked with a move to Hull before and the timing may now be right this summer for this partnership to come into effect.
