The first international break of 2025 is over with a welcome return to domestic football returning, but Premier League fans still have a little longer to wait before the competition's resumption.
While the Premier League historically hasn't held fixtures during the weekends scheduled for the third round, with the fourth and fifth rounds included at a later date. The decision to have no Premier League football on the weekend of the quarter-finals, however, is new for this season.
There are only seven Premier League clubs still in the competition, but rather than host a selection of fixtures and create a load of games in hand, there will be no Premier League football at all this weekend.
The Premier League will return in midweek, with a full programme on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
