Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz will not attempt to win a third Wimbledon title this year.
The world number two has been absent since retiring during his Barcelona Open clash with Tomaš Machač in April due to a wrist injury and subsequently withdrew from the French Open.
Alcaraz announced in May that he would miss both Queen's and Wimbledon, expressing his disappointment to be missing out on two "special tournaments".
"My recovery is going well and I'm feeling much better, but unfortunately I'm still not ready to compete, which is why I have to withdraw from the grass-court swing at Queen's and Wimbledon," Alcaraz, 23, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.
"They are two truly special tournaments for me and I will miss them a lot.
"We'll keep working to come back as soon as possible."
The 23-year-old finished runner-up to his great rival Jannik Sinner when attempting to defend his Wimbledon title in 2025 and began this year in brilliant form, landing his maiden Australian Open title to become the youngest male ever to complete the career Grand Slam.
In his absence, 24-year-old Italian and current world number one Sinner is 1/2 favourite to win back-to-back titles at SW19.
The four-time Grand Slam champion was a similarly short price favourite to win the French Open, but suffered a shock second round exit at the hands of Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
