The top 16 players on the World Snooker Tour have already rubber-stamped their ticket to the Crucible for the 2025 World Snooker Championship but who will join them?
We take a look at the star names all hoping to come through an arduous 10 day qualifying campaign and secure their place at Sheffield's fabled Crucible Theatre.
Whilst many of the biggest names in world snooker have already secured their qualification for the last 32 of this year's competition, there are a plethora of players whose participation is not yet guaranteed.
World number one Judd Trump heads the 16 player field at the World Snooker Championship with former Crucible champions Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Selby, John Higgins, Mark WIlliams and reigning title-holder Kyren Wilson all expected to be in attendance.
However, there are plenty of other star names set to embark upon a tense and dramatic qualification battle, including former World Champion Stuart Bingham and two-time runner-up Ali Carter.
Carter was the ninth seed 12 months ago but has plummeted down the rankings this year, losing his spot in the world's top 16 to last year's runner-up Jak Jones, whilst 2015 winner Bingham will have have to replicate his qualification antics of last year if he is to feature in a 15th successive World Snooker Championship.
The likes of Jack Lisowski, Hossein Vafaei, Stephen Maguire, David Gilbert and six-time beaten finalist Jimmy White will also harbour qualification ambitions as they seek to write the latest chapter in their own World Snooker Championship stories this month.
Stuart Bingham will enter at the third round of World Snooker Championship Qualifying, and will play either Michael Holt, Oli Lines or Mohamed Shebab across two sessions on Sunday 13th April (14:30 BST) and Monday 14th April (14:30 BST).
Ali Carter will enter at the third round of World Snooker Championship Qualifying, and will play either Alfie Burden, Ian Burns or Mink Nutcharut across two sessions on Monday 14th April (10:00 BST and 19:00 BST).
Jimmy White will enter at the first round of World Snooker Championship Qualifying, and will play Anton Kazakov across two sessions on Tuesday 8th April (10:00 BST and 19:00 BST).
Has a qualifier ever won the World Snooker Championship?
