When was the last time Chelsea kept a clean sheet in the Premier League?

Chelsea have finally ended their long drought and kept a clean sheet in a crucial 2-0 win at Everton in the Premier League.

While the Blues have a huge array of attacking talent at their disposal, it is at the other end of the pitch where they tend to struggle.

Xabi Alonso had also been unable to help the side keep defensive shutouts, but he will have been delighted with his side as they kept a previously unbeaten Everton at bay in their 2-0 success at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

A second half double from Pedro Neto was enough to give Chelsea all three points and see them move up to fourth in the Premier League table.

Even more impressive was the fact Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was stretchered off following a serious collision and replaced by Belgian Mike Penders.

It was no coincidence Chelsea looked far more solid following the return of Moises Caicedo and they will be looking to build on this and secure a third consecutive victory when they host London rivals Tottenham next weekend.
