A year on from the release of Football Manager 26, Sports Interactive are set to release FM27.
Football Manager players were understandably frustrated when FM25 was cancelled due to concerns over the sufficient quality of the game, with the release of FM26 on 4th November 2025 ending a two-year wait for a new game.
The video game -- which can be played via console or mobile -- faced heavy backlash due to initial lags and crashes, and while they later released updates in an attempt to fix such issues, some complications were left unresolved for a number of players.
While aspects of the game received criticism, added features such as In-possession and Out-of-possession tactics and new player roles were warmly welcomed.
With Sports Interactive in the final stages of development for FM27, we take a look at when the new game will be released.
While an official release date hasn't been announced, it has been confirmed that Football Manager 27 will launch in November.
Football Manager Senior Community Manager Chris Groves said: "As soon as we're ready, we'll share that specific launch date, alongside confirmed platforms.
"Beginning in September, we'll deliver a series of deep dives, including detailed breakdowns, behind the scenes insights from key people here at the studio, and exclusive first looks at gameplay," he added.
Football Manager has not been released any later than 10th November in seven of the last 10 editions, with all of the last three games coming earlier, and so we anticipate FM27 to be launched in early November.
