When is EastEnders on at Christmas?

The Christmas period tends to be the peak of the soap calendar and EastEnders have promised fireworks in their festive episodes this year.

Since the first episode in 1985, the streets of Walford have witnessed many a bombshell dropped on Christmas Day and this year is set to be no different with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) taking centre stage as her affair with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) is exposed.

The 2024 Christmas episodes of EastEnders will be available to watch live on BBC One and will also be accessible via BBC iPlayer.

What time is EastEnders on at Christmas?

An extended episode of EastEnders will air for 45 minutes from 7:30pm on Christmas Eve.

The soap has then returned to the tradition of airing two separate instalments on Christmas Day. The first episode will be broadcast at 7:25pm, with the second episode taking place after Gavin & Stacey at 10:30pm.

The Boxing Day episode will take place at 8:30pm.
