It proved to be a pulsating end to the summer transfer window for clubs in England on Tuesday evening and now attentions turn towards north of the border as sides in Scotland wrap up their business.
Colossal amounts of money have already been spent by British clubs this summer and there seems to be more deals in the pipeline at both Celtic and Rangers, amongst others, in the final few days of the window.
Unlike for Premier League and EFL sides, Scottish teams have an additional few days to conduct further incomings and outgoings, but when exactly will the transfer window close?

When does the transfer window close in Scotland?
For the first time, clubs in Scotland will be granted an additional two days to complete their summer revamps with the deadline for signings in the the Scottish Premiership, Championship and League One and League Two being 17:00 (BST) on Thursday 3rd September, 2026.
Why is the Scottish transfer window staying open later than in England?
Whilst no official explanation has been given, it's been reported in the national media that the idea to extend the transfer window in Scotland by 42 hours is to enable clubs in the top four tiers to take advantage of any players still in limbo at their existing sides on the continent.
With it being a World Cup year, it was rightly expected that there will be a significant delay on deals being completed with more than ever being finalised during the final few days of the window, especially in the Premier League and Championship.
As a consequence, it's likely that fringe players and youth team stars hoping to seal moves away would be impacted by that, with the Scottish FA opting to extend their window to enable clubs in their respective leagues the chance to take advantage and seal late incomings of players who are seeking more regular game time.
