When are the 2026/2027 fixtures released for Premier League and EFL?

The 2025/26 domestic season might have only just finished, but fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the 2026/27 fixtures.

Newly promoted Hull will join Coventry City and Ipswich Town in eyeing up their trips to -- and visits of -- Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool as the Gunners prepare for their first title defence since the 2004/25 season. Bournemouth, Sunderland and Brighton are also gearing up for European campaigns after their impressive domestic efforts, while the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham will miss out on European endeavours following disappointing showings in the Premier League.

Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers have fairly recent memories of life in the second tier, but West Ham United's relegation, just three years after European success, sees them return to the Championship for the first time since 2011/12 where they await trips to Lincoln City, Wrexham and, of course, Millwall.

In League One, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday make their returns to the third tier, with the latter certainly the glamour tie for the rest of the division in the 2026/27 campaign. The Foxes will take on the likes of League Two champions Bromley and play-off winners Notts County.

In League Two, just two seasons after playing Championship football, Rotherham United face life in the fourth tier for the first time since 2013, and can look forward to trips to newly promoted York City and Rochdale.

When are the Premier League 2026/27 fixtures released?

For the Premier League, fixtures will be released a week earlier than the EFL, at 10:00 BST on Friday 19th June. The first game of the Premier League season is expected to take place on Friday 21st August.

When are the EFL 2026/27 fixtures released?

Fixtures for all three EFL divisions will be released at midday on Thursday 25th June with the EFL getting underway on Friday 14th August, a week after the first round of the Carabao Cup.
