It happens every year. The season starts, you get into the swing of things, and before you know it, you're hit with the sucker punch that there's an international break coming up.
While we can't prevent the international interruptions, we can at least make sure you're ready for them, so here are the international breaks for the 2024/25 season.
We're only treated to three weeks of Premier League football and four weeks of Championship football before the first break in play. The first international break comes week commencing 2nd September, with domestic football returning on 14th September.
We get four more weeks before the next break starting week commencing 7th October and returning 19th October. The third break comes another four weeks later starting week commencing 11th November and returning 23rd November.
The good news is that the first three breaks aren't international friendlies or meaningless qualifiers, but the return of the Nations League. The bad news is that England were relegated last season and are in a group with Greece, Ireland and Finland...
Four months later, the international breaks come back as the World Cup Qualifiers begin, with the final break of the season on week commencing 24th March and concluding 5th April.
