What next for Fabio Wardley - Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller & Dave Allen mooted as potential opponents

Rob Tebbutt names a handful of fighters he'd like to see WBA 'interim' heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley square-off with next after the British star produced a true Herculean effort to stop Australian contender Justis Huni at the weekend.

The Ipswich heavyweight continued to grow his reputation with a stunning comeback win over Justis Huni at Ipswich Town's Portman Road.

It was the latest in a series of exhilarating stoppage successes for the former white-collar boxer and current Queensberry star.

My word though, he was forced to do it the hardest of hard ways against the former Australian Olympian!

Huni dominated for large parts of the fight before Wardley uncorked a massive right hand to send Huni crashing onto the canvas and out for the count.

A lot of the questions now hinge on what Wardley will do next...

Of course, as a consequence of his win he's now picked up the vacant 'interim' WBA heavyweight title, leading to suggestions that he could now face WBA 'regular' champion Kubrat Pulev.

We have however seen the two camps undertake talks for a potential fight between the pair before, with no common ground able to be reached for an agreement to be struck.

Personally, I would now like to see Wardley really look to bed himself in around that fringe world championship level and get himself a fight against an opponent who can give him even more valuable rounds.

Names like Filip Hrgovic have been mooted but I feel a clash with the giant Croatian would be too stiff of a challenge for Wardley right now.

The former Olympic bronze medalist carries dynamite power in his right hand so, for me, he would be somebody that should be put on the back-burner until Wardley manages to get a little bit more experience and ring craft under his belt.

Jarrell Miller - who Wardley was supposed to be fighting before the American withdrew with injury - is somebody I'd still like to see him take on.

He's durable, has name-recognition and will help sell the fight to the masses if he is the direction in which Wardley and his team opt to go down next.

There are also the usual suspects in the United Kingdom who could carry appeal including Joe Joyce and Derek Chisora, and how about 'The White Rhino' Dave Allen, fresh off the back of his statement stoppage victory over Johnny Fisher.

A bout between Wardley and Allen would see two of the country's most popular heavyweights go toe-to-toe and it's a fight that I feel would really capture the imagination of the nation.

One thing is for sure, with his all-action style, pure lights out knockout power and granite chin, whatever happens next for Wardley, I'm sure, will be incredibly exciting for fans.
