West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Odds, predictions, team news, stats & how to watch

West Ham United will be eager to keep up their impressive form when they host Crystal Palace on Sunday on the back of a four-game winning run.

The Hammers are beginning to carve out a gap between them and the bottom half, as they look to push on both domestically and in Europe.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are doing just enough to stay clear of danger, but they enter this clash on the back of a poor run.

Can they turn things around on Sunday despite a poor London derby record?

West Ham United v Crystal Palace predictions

West Ham to win - 1/1

There’s little doubt who holds the edge on form in this clash, with Crystal Palace crossing the capital after losing four of their last five games. Roy Hodgson’s side were downed by Luton last time out, which was a real missed opportunity for them to get points on the board.

The Eagles tend to focus on those clashes with struggling sides, as their record against the better sides in the top flight isn’t great. They head to the London Stadium having lost all but one of their meetings with top-half sides this term, only avoiding defeat in a win over a struggling Manchester United side.

Meanwhile, West Ham have won three of four home games against sides beneath them in the table, seeing off Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United. After winning four straight games, there’s little doubt that the hosts are the stronger side so back them to take all three points.

Michael Olise to score or assist - 15/8

While Palace are in bad shape, it’s not all doom and gloom at Selhurst Park right now. The return of Michael Olise is timely, with the Frenchman making his first start against Luton last week.

The Eagles held the winger amid interest from Chelsea in the summer and he will be a key man for them this term. His value to the side is already clear, having found the net against the Hatters in his return to the starting 11.

The winger has been involved in seven goals across his last 10 league games. With West Ham conceding in 12 of their 13 games this term, Olise looks like good value to chip in with a goal or an assist.

West Ham to win 2-1 - 17/2

While Olise will threaten West Ham’s leaky defence, they should do enough to control this game and take maximum points. The Hammers have scored twice in four of their six home games, so they can outscore the Eagles in this encounter.

David Moyes has led his side to four straight victories by a single goal, so there’s reason to believe the hosts will secure another narrow win.

Palace have lost by one goal in four of their six league defeats this term and with both sides expected to find the net, a 2-1 victory for the hosts is the most appealing correct score option at 17/2.

West Ham team news

West Ham are without Michail Antonio up top, with Danny Ings set to step in. The Hammers will give late fitness tests to Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.

Crystal Palace team news

The Eagles are missing goalkeeper Dean Henderson, so Sam Johnstone will start in goal. The visitors are also without Eberechi Eze and Cheick Doucoure.
