West Ham braced for Mohammed Kudus offer from Saudi Pro League

West Ham are reportedly anticipating an offer for Mohammed Kudus with their star winger attracting interest from Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League.

Premier League

Kudus performed a starring role in his first season at the London Stadium after joining the Hammers from Ajax in a £38m deal in the summer of 2023.

However, the 24-year-old has struggled to replicate that form in the current campaign and an underwhelming individual season for Kudus mirrors West Ham's plight as they loiter in 17th.

Graham Potter's side were on course for their first win in five matches at the weekend against relegated Southampton but Lesley Ugochukwu's stoppage time equaliser saw tempers flare at full-time.

Kudus featured in 75 minutes of the contest but was unable to get on the scoresheet, extending his barren run to 15 games and four months without a goal.

Despite a disappointing campaign, the former Nordsjælland midfielder remains hot property. Reports from talkSPORT and the Guardian indicate the Hammers are expecting to receive several offers for Kudus in the summer, with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr understood to be at the front of the queue.

The Ghanaian's contract includes an £85m release clause for Premier League clubs and a Saudi specific buyout clause of £120m which is valid this summer, although Al-Nassr are reportedly adamant they will be able to negotiate a far less lucrative deal.

Al-Nassr, who currently have the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Jhon Duran on their books, have also been linked with a move for Chelsea's Moises Caicedo.

While West Ham are not actively pushing Kudus' sale, it's believed that the money generated from his departure would have a major bearing on Potter's summer rebuild.

The Hammers are prepared to listen to offers for several players, including Niclas Fullkrug, Edson Alvarez and Emerson Palmieri, although they're hopeful of retaining talismanic captain Jarrod Bowen.

Both Newcastle United and Tottenham have been linked with Bowen, who has scored nine goals and assisted five in 29 Premier League appearances this season.
