Former footballer James Collins will swap his boots for a pair of gloves after it was announced that he will fight Big Stacks at the next Misfits Boxing event on 10th October.
The 43-year-old has been confirmed as the replacement for former Strictly Come Dancing and The Apprentice contestant Thomas Skinner at the Copper Box Arena in London.
The Misfits card will be headlined by reality TV star Joey Essex as he takes on social media personality Dapper Laughs.
Big Stacks' participation was uncertain following Skinner's withdrawal just a fortnight before their scheduled fight, but he will now have the opportunity to build on his second-round TKO against Jordan McCann earlier this month.
Collins has accepted the fight against the controversial influencer at short notice, but the popular former defender now has the chance to make a name for himself outside of football.
After progressing through the youth system and eventually breaking into the first team at Cardiff City, Collins joined West Ham in 2005 and quickly became a fans' favourite.
He made over 200 appearances for the Hammers across two different spells, with a three-year stint at Aston Villa sandwiched in between.
Collins was also a key part of the Wales team that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 and he represented his country a total of 51 times.
The proud Welshman will be leaning on some of the support from his footballing days as he prepares for his Misfits debut next month.
