West Bromwich Albion and Southampton are reportedly interested in signing French right-back Nolan Galves.
Transfer news specialist Sacha Tavolieri has reported both Championship clubs have reached an agreement with Ligue 2 club Rodez and it is now up to the defender to decide where he wants to play his football this season.
While the Saints and Baggies were at opposite ends of the table last season, both clubs will feel they have a real opportunity to challenge for promotion in 2026/27 and clearly feel Galves can help them return to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old, who was reportedly a target for Millwall earlier on in the summer, made 36 appearances last season and showcased his attacking abilities from right-back by recording eight assists.
Galves has spent two years at Rodez after leaving his boyhood club Sochaux in 2024 and it will be fascinating to see how he adapts to English football if a move is confirmed during this transfer window.
The Baggies conceded 58 goals and only scored 48 in the second tier last season and may identify Radez as someone who can improve them at both ends of the pitch.
