West Bromwich Albion and Derby County are reportedly interested in securing a loan move for winger Tommy Watson from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Watson is best known for scoring the winning goal for Sunderland against Sheffield United in the 2024/25 Championship play-off final.
The youngster stepped off the bench to score a 95th minute winner as the Black Cats came from behind to win 2-1 and seal a return to the Premier League.
Now at Brighton, it is likely that he will spend time out on loan next season according to reports from the Sunderland Echo.
It is claimed that West Brom and Derby are exploring a move, whilst the likes of Hull City, West Ham United, Preston North End and Leicester City have also been mentioned as potential destinations.
Watson's play-off final goal for Sunderland turned out to be his parting gift ahead of a £10 million move to Brighton last summer.
The deal to join the Seagulls had already been agreed prior to the trip to Wembley but he secured his place in Sunderland folkflore with his memorable winner.
The 20-year-old featured just six times in the Premier League in the first half of last season for Brighton as regular first-team opportunities were hard to come by.
He was loaned out to Millwall in January and he played 12 matches for Alex Neil's side as they reached the play-offs.
Brighton have a high opinion of Watson and they see him as a first-team player in the future, but they view regular football elsewhere as a key step in the next stage of his development.
