Hamzah Sheeraz v Liam Williams Tips

- Hamzah Sheeraz 'By KO, TKO or Disqualification' @ 1/2
- Hamzah Sheeraz 'By KO, TKO or Disqualification Between Rounds 1 - 6' @ 2/1

I love these kinds of fights.

You have the towering undefeated prospect Hamzah Sheeraz, on the verge of a world title shot, stepping up against the battle-hardened, experienced former world title challenger Liam Williams.

These fights are something of a speciality for Sheeraz’s handler, Frank Warren, and I think he gets the job done in good fashion this weekend.

Williams has been a capable fighter at 154lbs and 160lbs in recent years, but has struggled to get over the line in his biggest fights - I expect that trend to continue this weekend.

Williams came up short against both Demetrius Andrade and Chris Eubank Jr in recent times and, particularly in the Eubank fight, showed signs that a long, hard career may have affected his ability to take a shot.

That’s a potential disaster against a spiteful, sharp puncher like Hamzah Sheeraz and I’m backing him to end the fight inside the distance this weekend at a slightly shorter price than I usually like to play at 1/2

Sheeraz possesses a rapier left jab - a shot we saw drop Williams repeatedly against Eubank Jr. - and I think that shot does the damage at the weekend.

We saw Sheeraz repeatedly drop Dmytro Mytrofanov with the jab early on in his last bout, and I expect him to go looking for Williams early on. A price of 2/1 for 'Sheeraz Betweem Rounds 1 - 6' may also be a worthwhile play.

For Williams, this is by no means an un-winnable fight.

He possesses good boxing skills and very respectable power, and will be buoyed by Sheeraz’s poor showing against Bradley Skeete back in December 2021 and even more so by Sheeraz being sent to the canvas by Francisco Torres in July of the following year.

A price of 'Williams By KO/TKO' at 13/2 represents plenty of value for the underdog backers. However, for me, I see this fight going the way of the younger, fresher fighter in Hamzah Sheeraz.

Make no mistake, this fight is set-up for him to dispatch Williams - and I expect Sheeraz to oblige and win by 'KO/TKO' at 1/2I will also be betting 'Sheeraz By KO/TKO in Rounds 1 - 6' at 2/1.

Liam Dillon v Reece Bellotti Tips

- Reece Bellotti By Decision or Technical Decision' @ 12/5

Liam Dillon and Reece Bellotti square off this weekend, in a well-matched fight for the British and Commonwealth super-featherweight titles.

The exciting thing for spectators is this is a fight between two action-fighters who love to stand and trade and I’m expecting an entertaining back-and-forth battle on Saturday night.

I do feel that the experience of Reece Bellotti could prove to be the difference in this fight. He’s boxed at a considerably higher level than Dillon and enters Saturday’s bout in good form after wins over Youssef Khoumari and Aqib Fiaz.

Though unbeaten, Dillon has struggled to get the opportunities that he will feel he has deserved, but gets a chance this weekend to make a statement and push on for bigger names at 130lbs.

I think this is an excellent, well-matched fight that could go either way; but it’s the experience and recent form of Bellotti that give him a slight edge for me.

The Watford-man is a decent puncher around British level and has a relentless work-rate.

I think this is a fight that will most likely go the distance (4/6) and for me, I’ll be edging towards the more seasoned campaigner, 'Reece Bellotti By Decision or Technical Decision' at 12/5.
