Fabio Wardley v Frazer Clarke (British & Commonwealth heavyweight titles)

Frazer Clarke - To Win Fight @ 7/4

This is a fight with a lot of intangibles; there will be a lot of questions asked and answered. It is a 50/50 fight, and I've been seesawing from one side to the other since the bout was announced.

It's going to be between Fabio Wardley's explosive punching power early in the fight and whether he can stop Frazer Clarke from settling into that rhythm behind the jab. You have to remember that Clarke is the more schooled boxer, the more mentally sound of the two but the punching power does lie with Wardley.

But for me, Clarke being 7/4 to win the fight is the value play and it's my pick for this weekend's contest.

Fight Tips & Predictions

Viddal Riley v Mikael Lawal (bet365 Wildcard - Cruiserweight bout)

Viddal Riley - By Decision or Technical Decision @ 11/8

I do like the youth, freshness and skillset of Riley over Lawal, but I don't see a stoppage coming in this fight, with my preference for Riley to win this bout by Decision which is priced up at 6/5.

Lawal, of course, does have a puncher's chance and does carry a lot of power, particularly in his right hand, but I just don't see him getting to Riley often enough to do that damage.

So for me, my pick is Riley to win by Decision.

Liam Davies v Erik Robles Ayala

Fight Tips & Predictions

Florian Marku v Chris Kongo (Welterweight bout)

Chris Kongo - By Decision or Technical Decision @ 9/4

I do like the slight underdog in this bout and I do fancy Chris Kongo to just be a little too slick and well schooled for Florian Marku, keeping him on the end of the jab for as long as he possibly can.

We've seen with Kongo in the past that he does fade in the second half of the fight and he will have to be wary of that against someone like Marku, who will keep coming, keep applying the pressure and does have heavy hands.

For me, I like the well-schooled, fundamental boxing skills of Kongo to emerge victorious by Decision.
