The Terriers have began impressively in their quest to win promotion straight back to the Championship by recording three wins out of three so far and another EFL Cup success can only boost the positivity around the club even further.
Walsall had also enjoyed an encouraging start to the 2024/25 campaign with wins over Morecambe and Swindon, but suffered their first defeat at Tranmere on Saturday.
Walsall v Huddersfield Town will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports+.
Walsall v Huddersfield Town will kick off at 19:45 BST on Tuesday 27th August at the Bescot Stadium.
Walsall secured their passage through to the EFL Cup second round with a dramatic victory over Exeter City. Jamie Jellis netted a 93rd-minute equaliser, before Saddlers goalkeeper Tommy Simkin was the hero as he saved two spot kicks in the penalty shootout.
