Georgia defensive end Travon Walker is being touted as a possible first overall selection in this month's draft after scouts and analysts re-assessed his potential on the back of his impressive NFL Combine and pro day showings.
Walker, 3/1 to be the first name called on 28th April, has risen up draft boards all across the league in the last few weeks and could now be a legitimate challenger to 5/14 Aidan Hutchinson - the long-time favourite to be the No.1 pick.
Walker's talents showcased
The official NFL Twitter account made the case for the Bulldogs star over the weekend, posting a scouting report showcasing his college highlights.
Walker played in 36 games at Georgia, where he emerged as a full-time starter during his junior season and led a dominant Dawgs' defensive line in 2021 - recording 37 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, and two pass break-ups.

He took the spotlight in UGA's 34-11 win over Michigan in the Orange Bowl and added to his highlight reel with some key plays in the National Championship Game, including an eye-popping pursuit of Alabama wide receiver Agiye Hall after a 24-yard gain to prevent a probable touchdown.
But scouts and general managers really started to fall in love with the 21-year-old after he measured up against other big names in this draft class at the scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Walker shows off his speed
The 6-foot-5, 272-pound prospect clocked an official time of 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash, produced a 6.89sec three-cone time that was faster than all but one wide receiver at the event and showcased his wingspan with an arm measurement of 35 and a half inches.
"I play best on the edge, rushing the passer," Walker said last month, via 247Sports.com. "That is my strong suit. That is what I have been doing my entire life."
