Wales v Turkiye Odds: Hosts 17/10 to beat Turkey

Wales and Turkey will get their respective Nations League B campaigns underway when they meet at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday night with the Red Dragons looking to bounce back from relegation in 2022/23.

Wales picked up just one point from a possible 18 in a group containing the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, dropping a number of points from winning positions, and twice conceded stoppage-time winners.

Craig Bellamy will hope for more resilience from his side as he prepares to make his managerial debut. Capped 78 times for his country, Bellamy has promised his players freedom with the ball and it may well lead to an entertaining night in south Wales, with over 2.5 goals priced at Evs.

But Wales will need to make full use of home advantage against what looks like a superior Turkey side on paper.

The Turks impressed at Euro 2024, coming second in their group before beating Austria in the last 16, and Wales will need to pay close attention to the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu and Arda Guler on Friday night.

It will likely be a two-horse race in Group 4 between Wales and Turkey, and the Red Dragons can make a big step towards a quick return to League A with a win in Cardiff.
