Manchester City have reportedly reached an agreement with Palmeiras over the signing of Brazilian central defender Vitor Reis.
The Citizens have a clear intention to bolster their defensive options this January, having allegedly agreed deals to sign Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis.
Here is everything you need to know about Manchester City transfer target Vitor Reis.
Born on 12th January 2006, Vitor Reis is 19 years old.
Reis was born in Born in Santana, Sao Jose dos Campos, in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
The reported fee that Manchester City are expected to pay for Reis is in the region of €40m.
Vitor Reis is contracted to Palmeiras until 2028, so it's no surprise to see a relatively high fee charged for the inexperienced defender.
Reis is a central defender who thrives in most departments, especially defending in wide areas.
Reis is 6ft 1ins and of lean build.
Reis is naturally right-footed but is comfortable using either foot.
Having played for a top side in the Brazilian Serie A in Palmeiras, Reis is used to seeing a lot of the ball.
That said, while the central defender is certainly proficient with the ball at his feet, stats show that he lacks progression in his passing, opting for the simpler route when possible.
However, under the guidance of Pep Guardiola we can expect him to become braver in possession.
Reis is extremely dominant in his aerial duels, a positive sign for a centre back who is just 19.
Not only does he act aggressively in the air, but he's commonly very sharp to react to attackers in wider areas, closing them down as opposed to allowing them space.
Moving to the Premier League, the standard of opponent is expected to improve, so it will be interesting to see if Reis' confident style of play off the ball persists, or if he is coached to defend more tentatively.

Reis began his career at the R10 Academy in Paraíba, an academy run by former Brazilian international footballer Robinho.
In 2016, he would make the move to Palmeiras, where he would make himself known in the youth setup, becoming a prominent figure at a number of age groups.
In 2024, he was rewarded minutes in the first team setup for the club, becoming a regular in the Palmeiras starting XI.
Reis is yet to represent Brazil at senior level, though, given his recent progress, it is surely only a matter of time.
He has, however, played for his nation at youth level, playing for Brazil's U16s before receiving a call up to the U17 squad in October 2022.
If one thing is for sure upon Reis' arrival, it's that he won't be unnecessarily rushed into the XI.
The Brazilian Serie A differs hugely to the Premier League, with physical demands increasing and the quality off opponent also rising.
That said, once Reis finds his feet, his physical presence and aggression both on and off the ground will undoubtedly add a new dimension to a Manchester City defence that has lacked fighting spirit in recent months.
A €40m price tag, which right now may seem steep, could prove reasonable if the central defender is to develop well under Guardiola.
