Virat Kohli 20/1 to win IPL Most Valuable Player award

We have priced up Indian hero and Royal Challengers Bengaluru superstar Virat Kohli at 20/1 to win the MVP award in the 2024 Indian Premier League.

The IPL Most Valuable Player award is given to the player who finishes as the leading Indian Premier League player based on a points system.

• Hitting a six - 3.5 points
• Taking a wicket - 3.5 points
• Taking a catch/stumping - 2.5 points
• Bowling a dot ball - 1 point

Kohli won the award back in 2016 after scoring a record 973 runs as Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the final.

He is also the leading run-scorer in IPL history with a total of 7,263 runs from 237 matches, which is over 600 runs ahead of his closest rivals Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner and Rohit Sharma.

Last season saw Kohli finish as the competition's fourth-highest run-scorer with 639 runs, which included six half-centuries and two centuries, which resulted in Kohli overtaking Chris Gayle as the player with the most IPL centuries (7).

He will once again spearhead the Bengaluru campaign in 2024 as the franchise looks to lift the IPL trophy for the first time in its history.
