Instrumental in Real Madrid's recent success, Vinicius Jr has rapidly established himself as one of Europe's most formidable forwards since joining the Spanish giants for a reported €46m fee.
The arrival of Kylian Mbappe undoubtedly raised doubts as to how he and Vinicius will play in the same team, however, and some put their 2024/25 UEFA Champions League quarter-final exit down to a lack of balance in the front line.
With suggestions that contract negotiations are at a standstill, bet365 are offering odds on where Vinicius Jr will be plying his trade by the end of the 2026 summer transfer window.
bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “Reports emerging from Madrid indicate that contract extension talks have stalled. The development has naturally led to speculation linking the Brazilian with a move away from Real Madrid.
“It appears we might be entering a game of cat and mouse between the two parties, particularly with Vinicius Jr reportedly seeking parity with Kylian Mbappe on the wages front and there’s also the not so small factor of who could afford the 25-year-old should he decide to leave the Bernabeu.
“A move to Saudi Arabia has been rumoured previously and while Premier League fans would undoubtedly welcome such a talented player, we’re currently 2/5 about him remaining in Madrid next summer.”
