British cruiserweight champion Viddal Riley has flirted with the idea of a potential domestic showdown with Aloys Junior taking place on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn's expected rematch.
Riley produced arguably the best performance of his career in his last outing as the 27-year-old got his hands on the Lonsdale Belt by dispatching Cheavon Clarke by unanimous decision.
With great intrigue surrounding Riley's next opponent, last weekend saw Junior defeated David Jamieson with a third-round stoppage to become the mandatory challenger for Riley's belt, and the fellow Londoner proceeded to call out the Rilest in the aftermath of his triumph.
Riley has welcomed Junior's challenge and even teased the idea of the bout being held on the night of Eubank Jr's rematch with Benn, who are reportedly set to lock horns again at the end of September.
"If he wants to fight me for the belt, come and fight me for the belt," Riley told talkSPORT's Fight Night Studio.
"I think it's a perfect Riyadh Season show. It's the perfect fight to be on a legendary rematch between Eubank and Benn; I think that would be a nice card to have a British and Commonwealth domestic fight.
"Alloys is the right opponent. He's looking explosive, dangerous and he's promising the world he can do something that no other person has done, so he can come and show me.
"This fight makes sense. We've had other fighters making noise, but they simply bring nothing to the table.
"He's [Alloys] earned the right; I cannot forget that he is my mandatory.
I have an obligation to fight him. A responsibility of being a champion is to eliminate challengers. Let's run it.
Riley is now unbeaten in 13 professional fights following his Clarke success in April and the internet personality has made no secret of his desire to fight for world titles in the future.
Retaining his British crown is the first item on the agenda for Riley, who is eager to keep hold of his Lonsdale Belt.
"It's a beautiful belt and it's always an enticing thought that I can win one outright and keep it," Riley added.
"Ultimately I can't think that far ahead, but to have a solid defence of my title while acquiring another title in the process, I'm all here for it."
