Melbourne Victory boss Tony Popovic says nullifying the threat of Craig Goodwin will be crucial to their chances of beating Adelaide United on Saturday.
Victory are priced at 1/5 to finish in the top six of the A-League and are up against an Adelaide side who sit third on the ladder but have played three games more.

Adelaide do have a side that is packed full of quality but Socceroos star Goodwin seems to be a thorn in the side of Victory every time the two sides meet.
Popovic expects him to be a threat once again but says they will do all they can to keep him quiet.

"Maybe we've just got to try and stop the supply to him," Popovic told reporters. "We know when he's got the ball in good areas he's very dangerous. Set pieces he's very dangerous. That's what you expect from a good player.
"We're happy that we're coming up against him and hopefully, we can give him some problems going the other way that will limit his opportunities."
Tough test
Meanwhile Victory are also looking to return to winning ways after drawing their last four games, but Popovic knows it will not be easy.
"We know what's waiting for us tomorrow,” he added. "We know Adelaide is a team that you really have to earn your points against and they're a team that goes to the 95th minute and beyond. They're always in the game and their fans get behind them."
