US Open Odds: Scottie Scheffler favourite for Pinehurst test

With major season almost upon us, we take a look at the latest odds for the US Open.

Unsurprisingly, world number one Scottie Scheffler heads the betting at 6/1.

While the PGA Championship typically favours longer hitters, the US Open is perhaps the toughest test in golf, requiring length off the tee, precision from the fairways, the ability to get out of the ultra-penal rough, not to mention a hot putter.

The US Open demands every facet of a player's game to be on point, and there's no more well rounded golfer in the game right now than Scheffler, especially with his putting woes seemingly behind him.

Scheffler is one of the longest hitters in the game while finding more than his share of fairways, but it's his laser-sharp iron play that sets him apart from the rest, and as long as his game is still in good shape come June, he'll be favourite once again.

2011 and 2021 winners Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm are currently joint-second favourites at 10/1 each.
