Novak Djokovic's bid for a record 25th Grand Slam title will continue with a second round clash with compatriot Laslo Djere at the US Open.

Reigning US Open champion Djokovic began his defence of his title with a straight sets victory over Moldovan qualifier Radu Albot, whilst Djere prevailed in a five set thriller against German Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round.
