St. Louis is the venue for the latest UFC on ESPN card, with Derrick Lewis v Rodrigo Nascimento the highlight of the event.

The two heavyweights will go head-to-head in the headline bout, with 11 other fights due to be on the evening’s undercard.

The headline event is expected to start at 00:00 taking UK viewers into the early hours of Sunday 12th May.

The arena – used also for ice hockey and basketball - opened in 1994 and can hold 22,000 spectators.

Mixed martial artist Lewis has had 27 UFC fights to date, with the 39-year-old winning 15 and losing 12 of his bouts.

This will be the brawler’s first fight of 2024, having won one and lost two of his bouts in 2023 – with his last fight a unanimous decision defeat to Jailton Almeida.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter Nascimento is eight years the junior of his opponent and is going in search of a fourth straight victory.

Six of the 31-year-old’s 11 victories have been by submission, while the South American claimed a unanimous decision success over Don’Tale Mayes in November 2023.

There will be seven Prelim bouts on the night, starting with the Women’s flyweight clash between America’s JJ Aldrich and Veronica Hardy from Venezuela.

The first men’s clash of the night sees Jared Gooden face French judo expert Kevin Jousset, before Englishman Jake Hadley takes on experienced US flyweight Charles Johnson.

A welterweight clash between American pair Billy Goff and Trey Waters follows, before Russia’s Viacheslav Borshchev challenges US lightweight Chase Hooper.

The Prelims end with a heavyweight encounter between two unbeaten fighters - Waldo Cortes-Acosta of the Dominican Republic and Cuba’s Robelis Despaigne.

The first fight on the main card sees an all-American lightweight battle, as Michael ‘The Menace’ Johnson goes toe-to-toe with Matt ‘The SteamRolla’ Frevola.

Two more US fighters clash in the second main-card bout, as featherweight Alex Caceres comes up against Sean Woodson.

A women’s strawweight battle is next on the night, as Brazil’s Tabitha Ricci takes on experienced American Tecia Pennington. That is followed by another North America v South America clash – as MMA man Terrance McKinney clashes with Esteban Ribovics of Argentina in the lightweight division.

The final fight before the main event sees a light heavyweight contest between US striker Alonzo Menfield and New Zealand kickboxing star Carlos Ulberg.
