Amanda Ribas has competed at both strawweight and flyweight over the course of her UFC career and she has a 17-4 overall record in MMA.

Ribas made her professional debut in her native Brazil in 2014 under Pentagon Combat, claiming a first-round TKO win over Jessica Almeida.

The 30-year-old compiled a 6-1 record in MMA and won the vacant MF Strawweight Championship in her hometown of Varginha before joining the UFC.

Ribas made her UFC debut in 2019 on the undercard of the heavyweight bout between Francis Ngannou and Junior dos Santos, claiming a second-round submission victory over Emily Whitmire at strawweight.

Ribas claimed two more wins in that division before her flyweight debut and she made it four UFC victories in a row with a first-round submission against Paige VanZant.

She returned to strawweight for her next bout, but suffered a first defeat in the organisation against Marina Rodriguez.

Ribas has been in mixed form since that loss with three wins and two further defeats, following up each victory with a loss.

She faced Virna Jandiroba at strawweight and claimed a decision win, but then lost a split decision against Katlyn Chookagian in her next bout at flyweight.

Ribas fought three times in 2023 with two wins and one loss, beating Viviane Araujo then losing to Maycee Barber.

She earned Performance of the Night honours in her second outing for the organisation by stopping Paige VanZant in the fifth round and followed that up with a decision win over Tecia Torres.

Namajunas was on the wrong end of a split decision in her next bout against Karolina Kowalkiewicz but returned to winning ways against Michelle Waterson.
