Adam Catterall previews this weekend's clash in the strawweight division between Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo on the UFC 313 card.
Iasmin Lucindo - By Decision or Technical Decision @ 5/4
Amanda Lemos has struggled to find any kind of consistency in recent years, and with that, she still had a fight for the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship in August 2023.
She ultimately fell short against Zhang Weili, but a loss against the champion was by no means a disgrace, and she will be looking to get back to the top of the tree in the division with a win against Iasmin Lucindo.
That's easier said than done, however, as Lucindo has shown known sign of slowing down in recent bouts, emerging as one of the brightest female prospects in UFC.
While she is just 23 years age, four consecutive victories holds weight in the division, and it is no surprise that she heads into this fight as the favourite against a fellow Brazilian.
All eyes will be on this card with Alex Pereira set to defend his title, so victory over Lemos for Lucindo would go a long way in claiming authority.
While this is no easy task for Lucindo and Lemos should by no means be written off, I fancy the 23-year-old to edge this one via decision or technical decision, in what could be an extremely close fight.
All odds were correct and available at the time of writing and are subject to withdrawal and fluctuation.
