Dricus du Plessis makes his second UFC middleweight title defence when taking on Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 312.

Du Plessis and Strickland have of course faced in the Octagon in the not-too-distant past, but this time it's the South African who'll be entering the cage as champion, having narrowly out-pointed Strickland at UFC 297 in January 2024.

Since then, both fighters have added a win to their records, with Du Plessis impressively beating Israel Adesanya, while Strickland beat long-time contender Paulo Costa to earn another title shot.

The first meeting between the pair resulted in a split decision win for Du Plessis, with no fighter being awarded more than three rounds on any scorecard, and while Catterall expects another close affair, he's siding with the champion to get his hand raised once more.
