Shavkat "Nomad" Rakhmonov comes into this fight as one of the most feared fighters in the welterweight division, holding an 18-0 record and a varied skillset, with all of his wins coming via submission (10) or knockout (eight).
The Kazakhstani fighter was initially preparing for a title bout with champion Belal Muhammad at UFC 310, but plans changed when the champion had to withdraw due to injury.
Ian Garry, similarly to his opponent is one of the fastest rising stars in the welterweight division, holding a 15-0 record.
The Irishman accepted this fight on short notice due to the champion's withdrawal, but will take confidence from his familiarity with his new opponent as the two were former training partners.
Garry will look to keep the fight on the feet and secure the eighth knockout victory of his career.
